One Book One Bundy
One Book One Bundy is an exciting community engagement project initiated by the Bundaberg Family and Baby Network in collaboration with the Bundaberg Library First Five Forever Project and the broader community of Bundaberg.
This project promotes early language and literacy across an entire year using one book and has celebrated several books since its beginning in 2016.
One Book One Bundy focus books:
2016 - Hattie and the Fox by Mem Fox
2017 - Who Sank the Boat by Pamela Allen
2018 - I'm a Dirty Dinosaur by Janeen Brian
2019 - The Smallest Turtle by Lynley Dodd
2020 - Wombat Stew by Marcia Vaughan.
Each book is carefully chosen to ensure it will encourage engagement in:
- Caregiver/child interactions
- Exploring print / symbols / illustrations
- Body movement
- Extension activities
- Links to home and community
- Imaginative play
