Join Carmel Birchley for a fascinating morning exploring the art of scraperboard.
A career draftswoman with a passion for detail, Carmel is known for her realistic style, bringing to life picturesque regional scenes in Harvest and Heritage.
In this demonstration, Carmel will reveal the specialised tools and techniques she uses to render contrast and precision in her artwork.
She will also discuss the role of photography as a catalyst in her practice, and reflect on how her agricultural upbringing shaped the stories in her current exhibition.
Light refreshments will be provided.
