3D Printing

Bambu Lab

Bundaberg Regional Libraries offer a public 3D printing service using Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) technology. The maximum build volume for 3D prints is 256mm x 256mm x 256mm (X,Y,Z).

What to print

If you're not sure what to print, websites such as Thingiverse offer a large catalogue of 3D models suitable for personal, educational, and creative projects.

How to submit a print job

To submit a print job, customers must:

  • visit a Bundaberg Regional Libraries branch and submit their 3D model file (STL or OBJ) at the front counter, or
  • Email their file(s) to library@bundaberg.qld.gov.au

All submitted files will be reviewed by library staff for suitability prior to printing.

Assessment and timeframes

  • Library staff will assess submitted files and provide a quote within 30 business days, subject to staff availability and printer demand.
  • Approved jobs will be scheduled for printing based on printer and staff availability.

Please note that timeframes may vary depending on job complexity, print duration, and operational demand.

Collection and finish

Printed items are provided 'as is' from the printer. This may include visible layer lines, minor surface imperfections, or attached support material that customers may need to remove themselves.

Pricing and guidelines

Pricing is set out in the BRC Fees and Charges (search "Libraries").

Detailed parameters and service conditions are outlined in the Library Operations Manual.
