Donate a Bra – Support The Girls Australia

In conjunction with the inspiring Mom Bras exhibition at Bundaberg Regional Gallery, we invite you to support vulnerable women and girls across Australia by contributing to the Support The Girls Australia donation box onsite.

Since 2016, Support The Girls Australia has been dedicated to restoring dignity and empowerment by providing essential items, like bras, to women in local and regional communities facing hardship.

If you have any gently worn bras that no longer fit your style or size, please consider donating them during your visit to the exhibition. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and uplift women in our community.

Contrary to common stereotypes, homelessness is not only experienced by middle-aged men struggling with addiction, but it also affects women, children, and young people from all socio-economic backgrounds. That’s why organisations like Support The Girls are so important: they help bridge the gap by ensuring women have access to essentials many take for granted, like a good-quality, well-fitted bra.

Bra recycling and donation is a simple, powerful way to support women experiencing homelessness. Before dropping off your items, please ensure they are clean and washed, with shoulder straps and sides intact (not stretched or damaged), free from stains or perspiration marks, hooks and fastenings rust-free and working properly, and wires intact (try pushing the wire gently to check it doesn’t poke out).

All donations will be freighted to Support The Girls at the conclusion of the Mom Bras exhibition. Thank you for your generosity and support!
