Matthew Jamieson is the Director of the Monto Museum of Art and the son of Catching the Burnett artist, Gil Jamieson.
With a background in farming, environmental advocacy and human rights, Matthew now curates exhibitions and delivers community arts programs across regional Queensland.
His work centres on place-based art, using storytelling to explore the history, mythology and landscapes of Central Queensland. This workshop will take an in-depth look into the exhibition and Gil Jamieson as an Australian Modernist painter.
