We are excited to announce the launch of the Arts Exchange program, a three-stage professional development opportunity connecting regional artists from Bundaberg with contemporary mural and public art practice.

Designed to build confidence, skills, networks and a stronger understanding of the public art sector, the program is ideal for artists looking to take the next step in their practice.

If you joined us at the FIND Summit, took part in Katie Whyte’s public art workshops in Bundaberg, or are an emerging artist interested in mural or public art, this opportunity has been created with you in mind.

Delivered in partnership with the Regional Arts Development Fund, Bundaberg Regional Galleries and artist Sarah Sculley, the project offers mentoring, shared learning and hands-on experience in community settings.

One artist will be selected to take part in the exchange, beginning with a five-day mentoring experience in Nambour with Sarah. This includes a public art tour and time in the studio to learn more about her creative process.

The exchange will then continue in Bundaberg, where Sarah will work alongside the selected artist, offer guidance on public art opportunities, and support community engagement connected to the project.

To find out more, join us for this online information session. You will meet the artist, hear more about the program and have the chance to ask questions before the selection process begins.

Sarah Sculley is a Sunshine Coast-based street artist known for her vibrant artworks that combine colour, typography and the female form. Working across murals, canvas, paper, surfboards and skate decks, she creates bold, layered compositions that celebrate connection, strength and creativity.

Since her first solo exhibition in Shanghai in 2005, Sarah’s work has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including Home Design Magazine, Grand Designs and idN. She specialises in large-scale murals and contemporary street art.

During the session, Sarah will share examples of her work, talk about her experience and speak about what shapes her public art practice. After the session, interested participants will be invited to submit an expression of interest.
