Art Exhibition I Nature's Therapy

Art Exhibition I Nature's Therapy
Carmel Birchley + Colleen Helmore + Maggie Spenceley

Soothe the mind and stimulate the senses, three local artists explore the natural environment.

HEAR the water moving, birds calling, and the rustle of leaves.

SMELL the scents of the bush, perfumes of flowers, and the tang of the ocean.

TOUCH soft petals, sharp thorns, rough sand, and cooling water.

SEE the colours and shapes of plants and animals of all sizes - plus enjoy the changing light as it creates bright spaces, and shadows.

TASTE (only when it is safe to do so!)

Nature’s Therapy encourages the viewer to reflect on the ‘artistic snapshots’ captured by Carmel Birchley, Colleen Helmore, and Maggie Spenceley.  In their own unique style, each artist has reflected the beauty of the region, while delivering strong messaging about the environment’s importance to our health and wellbeing.

By venturing outdoors and taking time to look around, we sense so much more. Our appreciation of the natural environment is deepened. Our heart rate slows. Our physical and mental health improves.

Our health and the health of the planet are inextricably linked.
